New EU MSCA post-doc in the lab
We are pleased to announce that a new EU MSCA postdoc will be joining our lab. Dr. Gizaw Satessa will work on EU-MSCA post-doc project on Seaweeds and gut health. Welcome!!
We are looking for candidates for MSCA post-doc applications
We are interested in hosting and training post-doctoral fellows within Sustainable Nutrition at the Animal Science, Production, and Welfare Division, Nord University, Norway. Although other related topics could also be of interest, we are particularly interested in investigating the potential of macroalgae and insects as alternative nutritional resources for future animal production or bioactive food ingredients for human consumption. Two PhD students defended their PhD theses within macroalgae
Deepak Pandey defended his PhD thesis: Marine macroalgae as an alternative, environment-friendly, and bioactive feeding resource for animals'. Prabhat Khanal was the major supervisor for his PhD. Congratulations, Deepak, and all the best for future opportunities!!!
Ying Yen defended her PhD thesis: Application of ensiled Saccharina latissima and Alaria esculenta as feed: ensilbility, digestibility and bioactivity'. Prabhat Khanal was one of the co-supervisors her PhD. Congratulations, Ying, and all the best for future opportunities!!!

With our collaborative project "Establishing the Circular Economy-based livestock sector through collaborative Educational and Research activities (CEER)", one PhD student from Agriculture and Forestry University will join the SANP lab for 1-2 years.
